Who is FUEL?
FUEL has been making healthy eating easy (and cool!) since 2006. We provide nutritious, affordable and delicious school lunches that meet the Nutritional Guidelines for Food and Beverages Sales in BC schools.
Why is FUEL different from other food providers?
We provide second to none customer care, including one on one lunch planning and coaching. We will share our experience and nutrition knowledge to help you develop an efficient and successful program. Let us know what we can do to help get your program off the ground. We not only encourage schools to take a holistic approach to lunch and learning, we make it easy to do so. By providing wholesome, delicious, nutritionally-balanced lunch options we take learning about nutrition off the page and put it on the plate!
We offer a flexible online ordering which you can use for other applications at your school such as chocolate sales, poinsettia or concert ticket sales, you are not locked in to using it just for FUEL, the system will save you hours of time, ensure accuracy and give you the freedom to maximize on your hot lunch program by making it easy to add dates.

Where does FUEL deliver?
Everywhere! We deliver to just about every district in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Do FUEL lunches meet the BC Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sales in school?
Of course! We created FUEL to meet just that need. Our recipes are created by our in house chef and meet all of the guidelines.
Are FUEL foods listed on the Brand Names Food List?
YES! FUEL was the first provider of school lunches to have items posted on the Brand Names Foods List. Our menu items are certified by the dieticians at Health BC and posted on the Brand Names Food List.
How does FUEL choose which items to offer schools?
We don’t, the power is all yours! We would be happy to share our expertise and experience with you to help you develop a successful menu that will please all your students. Once you have decided on your menu (we recommend 4 entrees, and 2 snacks) we do the rest!
Does FUEL provide samples?
You bet! We always encourage people to make a well informed decision and the easiest way to do that is to sample our food and see the difference our commitment to wholesome, nutritionally-balanced and delicious food makes. Click Here to set up an appointment!
Are there vegetarian options on the menu?
Yes, we have many meatless options – try the Zesty Penne, its vegan!
Where is the food prepared?
In our purpose built, Fraser Health certified industrial kitchen, by our top quality Food Safe certified kitchen team.
How are the meals packaged and delivered?
Every meal is portioned individually and sealed and labelled using food quality containers and/ or packaging. We deliver products in specially engineered thermal containers, which keep hot food hot and cold food cold, ensuring food safe temperatures are always met.
Both hot and cold foods are separated by division. Hot food in a dedicated hot container and cold in a cold container. Each container is then labelled with the division number and number of items ordered. A sheet with individual student orders can also be generated. There is NO sorting required by volunteers at the school. Every cold container comes packed with everything a student needs to eat their lunch- forks, napkins, condiments etc.
What is FUEL’s nut policy?
Our kitchen is a NUT FREE ZONE and our recipes are ALL NUT FREE!
We cannot guarantee that any food from an outside source has not been exposed to nuts. Furthermore we leave the food in the hands (literally) of volunteers/teachers/lunchtime monitors/students/etc. who might unknowingly have been exposed to nuts beforehand. Because of this, we recommend students with severe allergies not order.
Is there the possibility of using a FUEL lunch as a fundraiser?
Yes! We provide very affordable meals which easily leave room for schools to mark up the price to parents.
We also provide a number of incentives and special deals.
Books 4 dates at a time we give back 2%.
Book 9 dates at a time we give back 5%.
Recommend a school who books a date and receive a $50 credit.

We don't have many volunteers? Can we still order?
Yes! We provide a complete solution to your hot lunch needs. With our easy to use online ordering program and our well organized deliveries we can cut the number of volunteers and volunteer hours down considerably. Although it is preferable that you have some involvement we can also manage the entire program. However, by providing some volunteers you can keep the cost to the parents down and it helps to spread the message of healthy eating if there are volunteers onboard.
